Through our work, we help communities build healthier, happier, and hope-filled futures. LSF (Lutheran Services Florida) is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to helping the most vulnerable Floridians. We do this by reducing the suicide and drug addiction rate, giving families in crisis the support they need to persevere, and making sure those in poverty get the education they need to close the achievement gap. Providing a beautiful, safe, warm, drug- and alcohol-free space and loving community to anchor Members in the sustained recovery needed to gain and maintain access to housing, social and health services, healthy relationships, education, and employment is essential to this model.
Since May 2008, IDignity has hosted monthly Client Services Events where governmental partners and more than 120 volunteers serve over 200 people in need. At these events, qualified clients can get a Florida birth certificate, as well as a Florida ID (or license renewal). We also offer our clients help with getting a Social Security card or verification information.
We coordinate with other agencies such as Community Hot Meal Program, Halifax Urban Ministries, and Council on Homelessness and park the van in convenient places at specified times.
Palmetto House, with its forty-eight rooms, is the largest temporary housing facility in Volusia and Flagler Counties. Its purpose is to facilitate the movement of homeless individuals to permanent housing within a reasonable amount of time (usually 24 months).

Hope Place provides a fresh start for families with children who have been displaced from their homes by difficult circumstances and a safe place for homeless unaccompanied youth (18-24) to live while pursuing an education.

Knack’s Place is a sober living environment for men located in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida.
